Hello, Everyone!
If you are interested in small scale, out-door, gardening then, this post is for you!!
A long time ago, I had heard about repurposing old or unwanted garden furniture for use in the garden. Living in Florida, has been a gardening challenge - to say the least!! However, I am prevailing, and this is one of my more successful attempts at gardening on the small scale. The Materials you will need are:
An old plastic/resin lawn chair; saw with blade to cut through the plastic/resin; 2 screws (heavy duty); plastic flower pot (should be just wide enough to fit through seat of chair without going through it); length of medium weight chain link (long enough to to under the pot bottom and up both sides, with some left over); flowers/plant of choice (I have a miniature rose bush - $5 - in mine), it was originally the size of my hand when I first bought it. It has now trippled in size. Also, you will need potting soil, and optional outdoor spray paint. Drill with bit which will be appropriate for plastic/resin.
Instructions: 1. Saw seat of Lawn Chair out. 2. Drill 2 holes, 1 on each side of chair, next to the sawed out seat. 3. Place flower pot in sawed out seat. 4. Wrap chain link around bottom, and up both sides of pot. 5. Insert screws into the link of the chain closest to each hole. Do this to each side. 6. Fill pot.
